Our Daughter, Courtney

Here is our star softball player, Courtney. She is a senior at Jacksonville State University this 2009 year. She plays second base for the Lady JSU Gamecocks and is one of their power hitters. She is Majoring in Elementary Education.

Softball season has started for the year and we are following them around as much as we can. They have played one tournament in Mobile, Alabama - last weekend. This weekend they were off and then next weekend we will travel to Tampa Florida to see them in a tournament there. After a couple more tournaments (Georgia and Tennessee), the regular season will begin. It is a lot of fun to be a fan. If you want to read about the team and follow their season, here is their website. If there is an ad, scroll to the bottom and go to the site. Then under Women's Sports, click on Softball.

1961 Garrard Family

This is a classic picture of my family in about late 1961. I am the baby being held by my oldest sister, Linda. To her right is the next sister, Susan, and below her, sitting, is the next sister, Jeri. My father is on the far right and my brother is the fourth child, Ronnie. My mother is on the far left, and the next child is my sister, Jeanette. As I said I'm the baby, Kathy. As the picture is scanned out, the car, the trailer, and the landscape looks so cool to me. I really do love my family and am so thankful we can cherish times like this in pictures.
